Secretary/Clerk (Grade 3)
Hiring range: Minimum $23,000
- * Provides word processing support; maintains files, sends facsimiles, coordinates meetings, and travel reservations.
* Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent, minimum of one year secretarial office work, and proficiency with Word Perfect 8 and/or Microsoft Word. Bachelors degree preferred. Foreign language skills may be required for specific positions.
Project/Program Assistant (Grade 4)
Hiring range: Mid 20's to low 30's
- * Provide administrative support, including word processing, maintains files, sends facsimiles, coordinates meeting, travel and logistics. May provide financial tracking, budget and development, procurement, recruitment, counseling and program/itinerary development.
* May require a Bachelors and minimum of two years progressive office/administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; demonstrated proficiency with Word Perfect 8 and/or Microsoft Word and excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills (writing/editing). Project/program specific positions may require demonstrated experience in the area of focus, including participant training, international visitors, AIDS, family planning, nutrition, child survival, environment, education, youth development, disability information services. Foreign language skills may be required for specific positions, as may demonstrated proficiency with database, spreadsheet, graphics, and/or desktop publishing software.

Program/Project Associate (Grade 5)
Hiring range: Low 30's to Low 40's
- * Responsible for a specific focus area such as: financial management, accounting, budgeting, consultant recruitment and fielding to developing countries in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performs research, analysis and written/oral presentations of information in specific subject areas, such as: survey development, implementation and development, contract administration and procurement.
* May require a Bachelors degree and some Grade 5 positions may require a minimum three and others a minimum of five years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; demonstrated proficiency with computer software packages for word processing, data management, spreadsheet development; demonstrated organizational, oral and written communication skills. Some positions may require foreign language skills and advanced degrees.
Program Officer (Grade 6)
Hiring range: Competitive, based on position requirements
- * Manages a specific aspect of a program/project. Works in close collaboration with technical experts to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate projects addressing human development.
* May require an advanced degree and some Grade 6 positions require a minimum of five years and others a minimum of seven years relevant work experience in a program area or equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. Some positions may require foreign language skills and advanced degrees.
Senior Program Officer (Grade 7)
Hiring range: Competitive, based on position requirements
- * Manages a program/project. Directs the activities of technical experts and other staff to design, implement, monitor and evaluate projects addressing human development.
* May require an advanced degree (Ph.D. may be preferred) and some Grade 7 positions may require a minimum of seven and other require a minimum of ten years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience including managing a project and staff. Some positions may require foreign language skills and experience in developing countries.
International positions are recruited as specific needs arise. These are fixed-term assignments in developing countries that are at the Senior Officer level. Such positions offer competitive salaries, benefits and allowances and may be renewable based on performance and contract funding.
Executive positions are advertised as part of specialized searches as needs arise.
