The Imperative of Secondary Education Reform: A Global Conversation Conference November 8 at the Academy for Educational Development

Washington, D.C., November 8, 2006 — Although beginning from different starting points, all nations around the world are encountering similar challenges in creating effective secondary education systems that contribute to their country’s economic development.

On November 8, AED will host some of the foremost thought leaders in secondary education for a guided discussion that will address the key issues facing secondary education systems in developed and developing countries.

WHO: John Merrow, executive producer of The Merrow Report on PBS and the
president of Learning Matters, will moderate the discussions.
