AgCommfocuses on accelerating rural economic growth, poverty reduction, and environmental enhancement among agricultural communities and families throughout the developing world. Through the application of the SCALE (System-wide Collaborative Action for Livelihoods and the Environment) methodology, AgComm will focus on three core initiatives: building USAID capacity through the training of USAID agriculture program officers in the SCALE approach; implementation of field demonstration projects to illustrate the applications and impacts of the SCALE methodology on agricultural programs; and the institutionalization of the SCALE methodology through sustainable training partnerships with key regional and/or global agricultural training organizations.
