The Caribbean HIV Evaluation Support Center supports the work of five Health Resources and Services Administration HIV/AIDS Bureau Demonstration sites that are implementing peer support interventions to Caribbeans with HIV/AIDS living in the United States. The center provides the demonstration sites with technical assistance to ensure theoretically sound and culturally sensitive peer-support interventions and will conduct a cross-site evaluation to determine which models are most effective for different groups of Caribbeans. The center also identifies, compiles and disseminates best practices, lessons learned, other evaluation findings and replicable models to HIV/AIDS service providers, policymakers, funders and patients.
