This project aims to strengthen the delivery of teacher training support to public and community schools via radio and the integrated education technology. It will improve schools in Mali by ensuring that: 1) Teachers are adequately and appropriately trained; this will entail the establishment of virtual training centers in six teacher training institutes around the country; the development of "lesson example" broadcasts that will guide teachers through using student-centered methodologies with their students; and the development of teacher listing group training modules that will support the work of "communities of inquiry" at both the school and cluster levels. 2) The teacher training system improves; this will entail training the faculty of teacher training institutes on how to use the Virtual Training Centers as teaching and training venues; supporting the creation of mechanisms to coordinate the use of radio as a teacher training tool; and developing "supervisor listening group" broadcasts that will guide supervisors in how to support teachers and better help them structure their work in the "communities of inquiry."
