The W. K. Kellogg Youth Innovation Fund for Youth-Directed Civic Action is an initiative of the National Service-Learning Partnership that is designed to help young people prepare for active civic and political engagement in their schools, communities, and the larger democracy. The Youth Fund supports 8 sites made up of a new or existing youth board and a consortium of 3-4 organizations. Each youth board makes strategic mini-grants to youth-directed civic action projects that utilize a service-learning framework. The youth boards also develop impact plans to make create the structures and policies to sustain systemic youth engagement in a city and/or school district.
