Location: North AmericaAfricaAsia & the PacificMiddle East & North AfricaLatin America & the CarribeanEurope & Eurasia
Duration: 2005-2009

The purpose of the Analytical Services IQC is to support USAID's Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance's Office of Democracy and Governance (DCHA/DG) in providing technical support in areas of rule of law, elections and political processes, civil society and governance to USAID field missions, other overseas offices and central bureaus as well as host country institutions. Analytical Services is divided into: (1) core program support analytical services; and (2) core research and development services.

The objectives are to provide USAID home office and field missions with:

• General and sectoral DG assessments

• Country, regional and agency wide strategic planning

• DG management for results and results reporting, especially performance measurement and monitoring

• DG designs

• DG evaluations

• Core research and development services

• Survey research and new methodologies

• USAID training and DCHA/DG networking

• Grants management

As we are subcontractors on an IQC, it really develops on a case by case basis as Task Orders are submitted and personnel are proposed. AED already received a small Task Order to field a specialist in Nepal for three weeks for a DG assessment this summer.
