Academy for Educational Development

EQUIP2 combinestechnical research and leadership activities with "buy-in" associateawards from USAID missions and bureaus. The project works inpartnership with governments and donor agencies to formulate andimplement education policy; improve educational systems and buildorganizational capacity; strengthen management skills in the educationsector; and expand and improve the collection of data and the use ofinformation in education policy and planning. Technical leadershipactivities have assisted in decentralization and accountability,alternative education, learning outcomes, and information and datamanagement through policy and issues briefs, workshops, and the designof associate award projects. Through these associate awards, projectshave begun in Egypt, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Jordan, Malawi,Senegal, Uganda, and Zambia, in addition to an Education Policy andData Center being established in Washington, D.C.
