AED has coordinated the logistics of the Annie E. Casey Community Health Summits since 1999 with responsibilities including: assembling the plenary panel; developing, administering, and analyzing summit evaluations; developing subsequent tools kits, based on Summit contents, and then disseminating to local and national organizations; assembling an Advisory Council for participant and professional input in future Casey conference and TA activities; and providing a CD ROM containing all published tool kits 1999-2002 to participants. AED also hires graphic facilitators that create reports, which capture concepts and learnings from the Summit activities and discussions to send to participants Past Summit titles include, “Neighborhood Health Partnerships: Building a Strong Future”, “Building Capacity for Community Health Services”, “Making Connections for Healthy Neighborhoods, Cultural Competency, Service Provision and Care: Building Capacity for Healthier Communities”, and “Maximizing Organizational Capacity through Leadership, Innovation, and Peer Exchange”.
