South Asia Regional Initiative (SARI)
Location:
Asia & the Pacific
SARI/Q aims to strengthen local nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and networks in South Asian countries so that they will become effective advocates for policy changes that reduce human rights violations against women and children and protect the rights of victims. Through small grants, technical assistance, training, research projects, an electronic portal and ongoing regional conferences, workshops, seminars and meetings, SARI/Q will help NGOs collaborate with the media and forge lasting alliances. In the region, the project will help link the efforts of human rights organizations throughout South Asia. AED’s partners in this project are Management Systems International and the South Asia Partnership.
