AED is a leader in applying lessons learned in fighting the epidemic internationally to HIV/AIDS prevention efforts in the United States.

AED has been a key partner with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in implementing HIV community prevention planning in all 50 states since 1997.

IMPACT STORIES
International

AED launched USAID's first global AIDS project in 1987.

Today AED operates programs in 25 countries to reduce stigma and discrimination, promote prevention with people who are HIV-positive, provide care for orphans and vulnerable children, promote nutrition care and support, prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV and reduce transmission through workplace prevention and education.
