Preventing Mother-to-Child Transmission
 
Decisions about how best to feed infants in communities affected by HIV are complex and complicated, especially when mothers rely heavily on breastfeeding to provide nutrition for their infants. AED’s work in preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV includes programs that help mothers make safe and affordable decisions. Through advocacy, training, policy development, and voluntary counseling and testing, AED is working to keep mother’s and children safe.
